Classification of soilless cultivation
Soilless cultivation can be roughly divided into hydroponics, aeroponics, substrate culture, etc.
Hydroponics: using technologies such as nutrient film hydroponics (NFT), deep flow hydroponics (DFT) and floating capillary hydroponics (FCH), suitable for small crops such as lettuce and strawberry, as well as large-plant fruit and vegetable and small-plant leafy vegetables.
Aeroponics: using a spray device to atomize the nutrient solution and spray it directly on the plant root system, suitable for exhibitions and scientific research, can significantly improve the utilization rate of water resources and reduce the nitrate content of plants.
Substrate culture: using air-permeable and pollution-free media such as coconut bran, rock wool, perlite, sawdust, etc. instead of soil, suitable for crops with a long growth period, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc.
